When I first met Nahjef, I thought his fervor would lead to bountiful spoils. Where other Hunters would squander their coin in the dim-lit dens of debauchery, Nahjef would wisely hoard his earnings; I found his attitude to be refreshing. For some time, it was a successful partnership; we would plot and plunder, reaping the fruits of others\' labors. I have lost count of the days since that fruit spoiled. After we seized a hefty prize from a village in the southern sands, Nahjef became secretive. He no longer shared the nature of our next quarry - only that he knew its whereabouts, and all I needed was to follow him. Had he ever led me astray? But enough is enough. I have been yanked by the collar across this cursed desert, and my patience is spent. Devil take whatever this treasure is he seeks, wherever it lies! I shall bid him luck after tomorrow\'s hunt and strike out on my own. There\'s something strange in his eyes: a dogged drive that I cannot fathom. He plans to drag me into that dank and musty sewer, where I am certain no treasure awaits - yet again. I fear he is chasing phantoms.
